This is the updated an enlarged edition of "Faces of Lebanon". It includes the murder of Hariri, the Syrian withdrawal of Lebanon and the UN investigation. It takes into account recent events in the country, which will be available in December 2005. It is an unbiased overview of Lebanon since 1920, from geography and land squabbles to political leaders and their maneuverings.

Unforgettable weekend We were given a copy of this book before we went to Beirut and it was invaluable - we had an amazing weekend away which would have been unachievable without it. Every recommendation it made was spot on, the prices were right and the crowd were as expected, the pictures of all the restaurants and bars helped us make a quick decision about where to go. Without this book we would have been totally lost - there is no other guide on the market to Beirut (that we found) and this really helped us have an unforgettable weekend.

Its Lebanese. It's a great book for beginners and it also explains a lot about Lebanese culture.

Lebanon has as many "Histories" as cultures, religions and political approaches.
