PGCE AND TEFL
"Next year, I plan on taking a PGCE (English Teacher Training ) course in
order to gain QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in England. After this, in
order to gain experience teaching abroad and to broaden my horizons for
teaching jobs, I plan on taking a TEFL course in Bournemouth, in which
successful completion results in an "introductory certificate". Is this
introductory certificate what I should be aiming for, or should I aim
for something higher for a teacher trainee with a PGCE certificate?
Also, once I have finished with these two courses, I'd like to gain
experience teaching abroad, so would foreign employers regard my PGCE
training/certficate as experience, thereby increasing the number of
jobs available to me?
