Why won't employers respond?
"I have registered with you, put my resume online, and applied for 2 positions. I have never received a response. Does this mean: 1) they never received my application; or 2) the position was taken & they just didn't reply. I have a BA, MA, certificate in Teaching Business English, 30 years of teaching, and 8 years of work abroad. I was advised that with my back-ground, the TBE certificate would be adequate.

Teaching in Italy
| Q. My fiance and I are getting our TEFL certificates and both graduated from The University of Central Florida with degrees in English and want to teach in
Europe, primarily Italy. I know there is a growing demand for teachers of English in Italy, however, how could both my fiance and I get teaching jobs
in the same city? Any suggestions?
A. It may be a good idea to apply for jobs as a teaching couple, which can be very attractive to some schools. However, it is also advisable to mention that you would consider a single position and would be grateful for details of other schools in the city which are currently looking for teaching staff. If they want you, it will be in the school's interests to keep you (both) happy.
