"I have a Business degree (B.S.) from a university in California (Chico State University). I taught English from 2006-2007 in South Korea, and I really enjoyed it. Currently I work at a bank in the Scoring Department, since 2007. I would like to get back into teaching English as a foreign language, and I would like to do this in Paris, France. Before spending the money for the TEFL course that you offer, do you know what the likelihood of finding this kind of job in Paris would be? I taught children (kindergarten to twelve years old) while in Korea, and I enjoyed this atmosphere, however, I also wouldn?t mind shifting my focus to teaching business English, or even broadening my focus to do both. I am teaching myself French, but am starting with the very basics at the moment. Can you please let me know your view on whether or not there would be a good job market in Paris for this? I have a dual citizenship with the U.S.A. and Ireland, so working in France would be hassle-free regarding visas etc. Thanks for your time, "

Posts for Mature Teachers
Q.
Friends, is there such a job ? Together, my wife & I are over 140 years old. We are retired school administrators & teachers & would be interested in teaching or doing administrative work only during the warmer weather in Europe. Perhaps April through October for 6 or 7 months. In other parts of the world the climate isn't so important. We do not want to commit for more than 6 months at a time. Are jobs available for " seniors " like us with many, many years of experience in most school subjects, especially the handicapped.

A.
Probably your best first point of contact would be volunteer organisations such as VSO and the Peace Corps. Other options could be teaching charities; and religious and/or state organisations which offer language programmes to immigrant populations.
