Submit a career-related question Return to Knowledge Base AUGMENTING MY INCOME - ACTING AS AN AGENT Q. I would like to act as an agent for schools back home, in order to augment my income. How can I go about this? A. First, check with your employers that they have no objection to your doing this or you may find yourself in hot water in your current job. Better still, join forces with them and organise educational trips to your country which will benefit the students, provide cache for the school and achieve your personal financial aim. However, if you do decide to do this, it is important to know the school/s and their standards well, before promoting their services abroad. So, do your homework next time you are home on vacation. Visit them and see for yourself what they offer, not only in academic terms but also with regard to quality of accommodation and general customer care.
