  Age limit for job applications?
"Before going ahead and filling in my resume and getting high hopes, I would like to know is there an age limit for job applications? I was born in 1948. I wonder if age is a factor which would preclude me for being selected for a job?"

LOOKING FOR WORK... WHERE TO START?
Q.
I've just completed a CELTA course in Spain. I now find myself looking for teaching work in the UK and, more specifically, in the Worcestershire/ West Midlands area. I've had very limited success in my search for work thus far - my best prospects seem to be the summer schools coming up next year. Any advice/tips you could give me would be much appreciated!

A.
As it appears that, as yet, you have no teaching experience, you should perhaps consider putting together an employer-friendly portfolio of your work, to date. Include in it course work of note, lesson plans, teaching practice feedback and, if possible a short video of you teaching. Portfolios are measured against criteria and, while employers' criteria will be your general standard of teaching, do research prospective posts carefully so that if they require ability in teaching young learners, for example, your portfolio will demonstrate your competence in this area. We wish you success in your new career.
