I am just wondering.....all the job postings say TEFL certification or equivalent...for the posted job qualifications....what is "equivalent" to the TEFL certification??? What course work do I need to do to make sure that I will qualify for one of these teaching positions without paying lot of money for these specific certifications? A. A good question, and really one only the author can answer. Some employers, e.g. might consider a PGCE (post graduate certificate in education) equivalent, others might consider a certain amount of TEFL experience equivalent to an entry qualification.
