Since then I haven't been able to get a job because most employers require native speakers only, I now wish to move to Tuscany in Italy but find it very difficult to find a job. I am in my third year of teaching TEFL (I have the RSA Celta) and much as I enjoy it, I am very interested in working in TEFL publishing. What qualifications would I need if I wanted to work in this area? A. It would depend very much on what you wanted to do. Many teachers are recruited by ELT publishers for marketing/teacher training positions where they consider their existing teaching qualifications and experience to be what they require. However, if you wanted to have some of your work published, a good proposal plus sample/s of the proposed material would require to be submitted.
