  NON-NATIVE SPEAKER TEACHERS ABROAD
"I'm a Russian Teacher of English, graduated from Teachers Training University in Russia. I'm interested in working abroad in TEFL.. My teaching experience is about 14 years and with Russians. I know exactly that TEFL teachers are in demand the world over. What should I do to start my career in TEFL abroad? Most of Schools consider natives. But is there any chance for non-natives to have a chance? Could you recommend me any school that could be interested in non-natives? "

Interview for CELTA course
Q.
I have been invited to attend a group interview to get on to my CELTA course. My pre-course tasks involved completing some grammar exercises, writing about my experiences of learning a foreign language and explaining why I thought I would be suited to a CELTA course. I would like to prepare for the interview as well as I can but I don't know what to expect in a group interview. Please can you suggest ways for me to prepare for this.

A.
Group interviews can be slightly unnerving as, while you are interacting with one interlocutor, you are aware that you are being observed by others also judging your performance. However, try and relax in the knowledge that they will want you to do well. It's impossible to know what their line of questioning will be but I imagine they will want to double check your responses in your pre-course task and to gauge whether or not you have the time, commitment, and interest in order to successfully complete the course. Therefore, do revise your responses to the task and prepare supporting arguments for them. A relaxed and cheerful demeanour should also help. Good luck.
